The Subaru Impreza is a compact car that released in 1993, succeeding the Subaru RX. Its body style options have ranged from coupe to sedan and wagon over the years. Base, L, and LS trims were offered its first year, and they incorporated 110-horsepower, 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engines.
In 1995, LX and Outback trims were added, and a 135-horsepower, 2.2-liter engine became available. 1996 saw the addition of a Brighton trim, as did 1998 release an RS trim and offer a 2.5-liter engine. The 2002 model year brought with it TS and WRX trims, the latter with a 227-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbo engine.
For 2007, a WRX STI trim was an option, Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD) came standard, and you could choose between five-speed and six-speed manual transmissions. Features included alloy wheels, air conditioning, and a limited-slip rear differential, plus fog lights and, in certain trims, Brembo brakes, a sport suspension, a titanium shift knob, and more.
In 2021, the car is a sedan and hatchback duo, in base, Premium, Sport, and Limited trims. A 152-horsepower, 2.0-liter, flat-four engine is available, as is a choice between five-speed manual and continuously variable (CVT) transmissions. Featured range from heated front seats and heated side mirrors to a windshield wiper de-icer, LED headlights, and more.
